Kris Van Assche × Antazero: The Architecture of Lines in a New Reality

Kris Van Assche was born in 1976 in Lier, Belgium. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he began his career in Paris alongside Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme. He later launched his own label, KRISVANASSCHE, and from 2007 to 2018 served as creative director of Dior Homme, where he defined a new standard of men’s elegance: restrained lines, refined silhouettes, and a fusion of tailoring with youthful energy. After Dior, he took the helm at Berluti before stepping away from the fashion spotlight, dedicating himself to product design and ceramics.

Now, Van Assche returns - in collaboration with Antazero, a brand known for its technological fabrics and ecological innovation. The partnership feels natural: Van Assche’s disciplined cut meets materials that speak the language of the future.

At the heart of the capsule are leather coats. Smooth, stripped of embellishment, with almost graphic lines of tailoring, they’ve shed their former heaviness. These are not bulky “armors” but lightweight shells that move with the body. The coats retain the rigor and architectural sharpness of Dior Homme, but now they belong to the pace of the city: built to withstand rain, wind, and constant motion.

The palette is restrained - black, graphite, deep nocturnal shades that echo the atmosphere of the metropolis. The silhouettes remain precise yet no longer confine the body: there’s space for movement and breath. It’s an evolution of what Van Assche once created at Dior Homme - the same clarity of line, now liberated from strict discipline.

Materials play the leading role. Recycled leathers, membrane inserts, technological finishes - garments become functional: water-repellent, breathable, form-retaining without unnecessary detail. This is fashion that doesn’t sacrifice aesthetics for practicality; instead, the two exist on equal footing.

The Kris Van Assche × Antazero capsule feels fresh and avant-garde: stitched at the intersection of architectural purity and technological freedom. Clothing here is no longer decoration - it becomes a tool for life in 2025.
